Weight helps you do more damage and you’re already a score bot. Weakness is the more traditional item in the 2nd slot due to Greedent taking a beating when running around and it compounding off of Weight for further ratio boosts, and Cookie is the genera third slot pick since you are already stacking like crazy so the free bulk is always welcome, while also making berries heal more.
Amp is a more spicy choice on Belch sets to do as much damage to a target in the shortest time possible with Berry Belly Flop into an Amp boosted Belch.
Your Battle Item really doesn’t matter on this character. You can run almost anything and find some sort of value out of it, even the seemingly useless Full Heal can work for covet sets, too. Need to stall out some cooldowns? Use Shed Doll. Wanna go fast but can’t slot in float? X speed. Wanna have a really good secure? Fluffy. Wanna have some extra damage on top of a better secure? X attack. You get the picture. Greedent is mostly about freestyling on what you want from the character.
HOW TO PLAY
ABOUT: CHEEK POUCH
Your passive is pretty simple to understand. You heal a small percentage of your max HP from berries alongside its already standard effect. So if you heal off a sitrus berry, you gain the 1,500 heal alongside the extra %. You also have a meter which dedicates all of your offensive tools like Tackle, Bullet Seed and Belch. Depending on how many berries you have, Belch and Tackle cooldown will be lowered by 1 second. Bullet Seed just shoots faster for the berries you have and shoots significantly less faster with no berries. Bullet Seed will NOT shoot faster when you have 5 berries compared to one berry.
ABOUT: BERRY BELLY FLOP
Berry Belly Flop is pretty simple. You aim the ult and Greedent starts chomping down on a berry that scales with his HP stat by 15%, so things like Cookie will let you gain more value off of it. Afterwards Greedent will flop towards a location, dealing massive damage to anyone caught in the berrysplosion and will reset all of your move cooldowns and your meter will be full for the next 8 seconds. You can use this alongside bullet seed to do one bullet seed cycle into Berry Belly into another cycle, or you can use this with belch and covet to go for a drive by once, target down a squishy and do it all over again. You can spam Belch pretty effectively however this does not mean just because you ulted you have to go in. Berry Belly is a great get away tool and even if you’re an Amp Greedent, sometimes it’s best to just do what you do best and run for your life.
Early Game
Skwovet is one of the Pokémon of all time in lane. It’s secure without a fluffy tail is mediocre at best and even then with fluffy tail its nothing crazy. Your job at this point is pretty simple, stack to the best of your capabilities and outsecure farm if you can. Get 5 immediately and either stay in your lane and scrap or, leave your lane to your partner and go for some sneaky invades to get possibly speed up your 7. Do keep in mind your secure is still not the best even with optimized tackle headbutt combos.
Mid/Late Game
By now, you’ve reached your big spike and it’s time to go be annoying. Your job is to prioritize all farm on the enemies side, get vision and kill attackers. You’re sorta like a bulky assassin at this point in the game. Greedent is great at interrupting characters like Liquidation Inteleon, Mew, Shackle Decidueye, etc. due to his naturally fast speed, hindrance resistance to blast through frontliners and a naturally high burst tool in Belch to keep pressure on them. However, this doesn’t mean just run in willy-nilly because despite your great natural over time sustain on top of great bulk, you are not indestructible. And even these backline characters have way to play around you like naturally high burst moves. But this don’t let this entirely stop you. These characters still fear you on Theia due to being able to draw attention away from others and gain massive openings for others. Greedent isn’t a main damage, he is a supportive damage and that’s how you should play. Supporting damage and calling out to teammates like Dodrio, Absol, or any assassin really, that people are low and they’re easy picks.
